Nasal Endoscope (Rhinolaryngoscope)

Category

Endoscopy ENT

Typical Use

Visualize nasal passages and larynx.

Description

A flexible or rigid endoscope used by otolaryngologists to examine the nasal cavity, sinuses, and larynx for diagnostic evaluation and guided interventions such as biopsy, polypectomy, or foreign body removal. Nasal endoscopy provides high resolution visualization of mucosal disease, structural abnormalities, and tumor extent and is often performed in office settings with topical anesthesia or in the operating room under general anesthesia. Image documentation and targeted sampling during endoscopy enhance diagnostic accuracy and guide medical or surgical management of sinonasal and laryngeal disorders. Proper sterilization, scope handling, and patient preparation reduce infection risk and improve procedural comfort.
